Kristy Fletcher, President (EN)

Kristy Fletcher is a values-driven leader who brings over 20 years of experience in the sports, entertainment and non-profit industries. After spending her career in sports and entertainment, Kristy was thrilled to take on her role with MusiCounts in 2016. In her role, Kristy develops impactful partnerships with corporate supporters, Canadian artists, and individual donors to create innovative programs, raise funds, and generate national awareness about the importance of music education for young people.

Nick Godsoe, Director, Programs & Education (EN)

Nick Godsoe is the Director, Programs & Education with MusiCounts, where he's worked for the past 6 years. With MusiCounts, Nick oversees the strategic growth of the charities' programs, including its grants, educational resource creation, research collaborations and artist development programs. Prior to his work at MusiCounts Nick received a Bachelor of Music in tuba from Mount Allison University and a Master of Arts degree in musicology from the University of Toronto, where he also started his PhD.

Claire Leslie-Turnbull, Coordinator, Programs (EN/FR)

Claire is one of MusiCounts' Programs Coordinators, currently based in the Eastern Townships of Quebec. Claire is also a flutist and music educator, She believes in the profound impact that music has on the lives of youth and the communities around them. Claire received her Master's degree in Music Education at the Longy School of Music. Her research focused on exploring methodologies for multilingual learners in community music program settings. She was also a member of the 2021 Global Leaders Program Cohort. She won the Sector Innovation Prize as a Hildegard Behrens Global Humanitarian Laureate for her advocacy project for music therapy and public health. She received a Graduate Diploma in Orchestral Repertoire from the Université de Montreal in 2020. She obtained her Bachelor of Music in Orchestral Performance from McGill University in 2019. Over the years she has had the chance to perform with orchestras and ensembles, and teach with a variety of community music organizations throughout Canada. When Claire isn't playing the flute, writing music, or teaching you can find her baking, working in her garden, or reading a really good book.
