Diann Rigg
1933-2024
A Life of Music.
Diann had a love for music her whole life. As a child she took piano lessons. In High School she was a member of the marching band. She went on to get her teaching credentials with certification to teach music. Diann received her diploma in performance singing from the Royal Conservatory of Music.
Diann's family grew up with music all around. Listening to records or at the piano, singing along. Singing on long car trips to pass the time.
Diann taught Piano and singing privately in her home on and off over the years when not teaching in a school. She taught all grades of music including starting up bands in a number of Halton Schools. Diann was also very involved in her church choir, performing and as choir master.
After retirement Diann continued conducting and playing for her friends. She often organized sing a longs for the retired teachers group she belonged to.
In recent years she was helping a couple young girls with their music lessons. Diann donated her piano to the young family of one of the girls she was helping when she moved into retirement living.
In loving memory of Diann, her family is raising funds for MusiCounts to honor her legacy in a meaningful way. If you would like to contribute to this special cause, please use the donation page below or send a cheque to MusiCounts at:
