Applications for the 2024 MusiCounts Community Music Program are now open!
April 1, 2024
Non-profit organizations across Canada can now apply for up to $20,000 in instruments, equipment, and resources to support music education programming through the SiriusXM MusiCounts Soundwaves Community Fund!
Music education lives in more than just schools and classrooms — every day, organizations across Canada offer inclusive and accessible music programs for youth. The SiriusXM MusiCounts Soundwaves Community Fund supports these organizations by equipping them with the instruments and gear they need to make music education possible for kids in their communities. This program is best-suited to organizations that are in the most urgent need, serve high-needs or under-represented communities, and have strong plans in place to ensure their music program thrives.
Young people making music with their communities can help build connections, celebrate their identity, and cope with the stresses of growing up. The SiriusXM MusiCounts Soundwaves Community Fund supports organizations in their efforts to celebrate musical and cultural diversity, and create safe and inclusive spaces for youth to feel a sense of belonging. Grants can be used to support any approach to music education and purchase any kind of musical instrument. We invite instructors, administrators, or anyone affiliated with a community organization to apply for any existing music program, or to bring a new program to life.
