The True North Classic Basketball Game is coming to Hamilton during the 2026 JUNO Awards weekend, bringing together music, culture, and community for a high-energy charity event. More than just a game, it’s a celebration of Canadian talent, uniting artists, media personalities, and cultural leaders on one court for a meaningful cause.

This year’s lineup features Avenoir, Omega Mighty, Derek Hoffman, ARDN, Tanika Charles, Adria Kain, Denz (of The OBGMs), ToBi, Kirk Diamond, Cadence Weapon, Ray Robinson, Tresor, DijahSB, Marlon Palmer, and members of LTL. Teams will be coached by Alicia “Ace” West and Carmen Spencer, and hosted by CBC’s Ryan Chung, with teams announced live on Game Day.

The event also features a live DJ set by DJ Baby Vaye and a traditional Indigenous dance performance by students from the Softshoe Dance Program at Emily C. General School on Six Nations of the Grand River. Fans can enjoy giveaways and swag from partners including Nando’s, Toronto Tempo, and MLSE.

Proceeds support MusiCounts, Canada’s music education charity, and the Tune In Foundation, a Hamilton-based organization creating access to music programming and creative opportunities. By attending, you’re directly supporting music education and community initiatives across the country.

The event takes place on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (doors at 10:00 a.m.) at the David Braley Athletic & Recreation Centre (135 Fennell Ave W, Hamilton, ON L9C 1E9) at Mohawk College in Hamilton.

Tickets are $15 plus fees and available via Eventbrite. A livestream will also be available for those tuning in remotely
