Can’t make the trip to Toronto? Don’t want to leave your house? No problem - you can still party like it’s 1999 and ring in the New Year with everyone's favourite cover band, Dwayne Gretzky, who will once again be live-streaming their annual NYE show from Toronto to raise money for MusiCounts - Canada's music education charity.

This year’s fundraising goal is $25,000 with all net proceeds from the livestream, together with on-site donations and merch sales in Toronto, going to MusiCounts to support their mission to make music education inclusive, sustainable and accessible for youth across the country.

"MusiCounts is delighted to be celebrating the new year as the charitable beneficiary of Dwayne Gretzky's annual New Year's Eve concert,” says MusiCounts President, Kristy Fletcher. “Thanks to the support of Dwayners nationwide, we'll be able to help kids who need it most access the joy and power of music education."

Since 2012, Dwayne Gretzky has provided the soundtrack to the new year, every year. The DG NYE Livestream, which began in response to COVID, quickly became a unifying opportunity for music lovers across the country during the lockdowns, and has become as much a part of the yearly tradition as the live show; hundreds of thousands of Canadians have rung in the New Year with Dwayne Gretzky from coast to coast since the livestream fundraising tradition began in 2020. Similar to a telethon model, it's free to tune in and donations are optional, but appreciated!

In total, Dwayne Gretzky has raised over $100K for charity partners across its previous livestreams.

This NYE will also mark the band reaching the milestone of 800 total songs played throughout their 13 year career as a band; a truly prolific feat and proof there’s something for everyone at a DG show!
