Partnership celebrates the community impact of Rogers Stadium as second concert season kicks off
Live Nation Canada is investing $20,000 in music education in Toronto’s Downsview community through MusiCounts, Canada’s music education charity associated with CARAS/The JUNO Awards. The funding will support music programs at St. Norbert Catholic School and Ancaster Public School, helping ensure students have access to quality instruments and resources to learn and create music.
The investment comes as Rogers Stadium prepares to launch its second concert season, demonstrating Live Nation’s commitment to supporting the communities surrounding Rogers Stadium. By partnering with MusiCounts, Live Nation is helping to create meaningful, lasting impact beyond the stage, empowering young people through the transformative power of music education.
“Rogers Stadium was built to bring world‑class music talent to Toronto, but its impact goes far beyond the shows on stage,” said Wayne Zronik, President of Business Operations, Live Nation Canada. “Investing in local schools through MusiCounts is one of the lasting legacies of Rogers Stadium. We’re proud to help students discover music, and we hope to see some of them performing at venues like Rogers Stadium one day.”
“The long-standing partnership between MusiCounts and Live Nation embodies our shared belief that Canada’s music ecosystem gets its start in the music classroom,” said Kristy Fletcher, President of MusiCounts & COO, CARAS/The JUNO Awards. “We’re honoured to be celebrating the second season of concerts at Rogers Stadium with this investment in the local community.”
MusiCounts has been a leading national voice for music education in Canada for over 25 years, providing grants to schools and communities in need. This contribution will directly benefit students in the Downsview area, giving them greater opportunity to explore music, build confidence, and develop creative skills.
As Rogers Stadium continues to welcome world-class artists and fans from across the region, this partnership highlights how live music can also be a catalyst for community investment and youth development.
