MusiCounts says Thank You
July 31, 2025
Every July, MusiCounts highlights our donors and partners that support our mission to make music education accessible across Canada. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to those that help make MusiCounts what it is today.
This year, we wanted to put a spotlight on donors and partners that fundraise on MusiCounts’ behalf — why MusiCounts resonates with them and the reason behind their fundraisers.

Meet Louise Gauvreau of Maus of Waxx
She’s passionate about not only being a DJ, but also jewelry-making. She makes jewelry inspired by the musicians and artists throughout her life and career. She was working on an angel wing pendant when fellow DJ Angel Moraes passed, so she decided to sell the pendant in his memory and donate a portion to MusiCounts.

Meet Amanda Simpson of Waypoint Convenience
She helped launch Waypoint Cares with MusiCounts as the official partner, adding a $1 donation prompt at checkout across hundreds of locations across Canada.

Meet Andrea England of Four Chords and the Truth
As the show’s newest charitable partner, Four Chords and the Truth is a songwriter series held at TD Music Hall and she customized her donation page to suit instruments and equipment songwriters would use. She also designed notebooks to sell with all proceeds going towards MusiCounts.

Meet Courtney and Steve of Walterstock
In December 2022, they lost a friend who was a huge figure in the Toronto music scene and he loved all sorts of music: dance, rock, metal, punk, folk, alternative. To honour his legacy, they created Walterstock — a 12:00 to 12:00, one-day, all-ages event showcasing 24 bands in 5-minute sets.

Fundraise on MusiCounts' Behalf
Being a fundraiser takes imagination, innovation, and passion, and here at MusiCounts we encourage you to help us make a difference!
