IN MEMORY OF BRUCE SCOTT MACIVER

February 25, 1958 - September 26, 2019

It was 1959, a candelabra was placed high on the piano. The candles were set aflame and then, encouraged by his dad, one year old Bruce MacIver's tiny fingers began to tickle the ivories.  And so, a life-long love of music commenced.  A set of drums followed and then a guitar.  Bruce cut his musical teeth on melodies from the big band era, sharing duets while sitting side-by-side with his dad, Cook.  Inevitably, rock and roll caught his attention and, as a teenager, he subsequently caught the attention of The Flaming Flamingoes. And there was young Bruce playing drums and singing in a band that was twice his age. He was a natural!  Later came marriage and family in a home that was filled with music and song.  Over the years, Bruce musically nurtured his children, Alexandra and Cameron, and instilled in them a passion that is theirs for a lifetime.  Bruce's legacy is intact.  His music lives on.  Contributions in Bruce's memory would pass this gift along to another child. The show must go on.

The family is asking that in lieu of flowers consider donating to MusiCounts.
