Music education lives in more than just schools and classrooms; every day, organizations across Canada offer inclusive and accessible music programs for youth at the community level. The MusiCounts TD Community Music Program supports these organizations by equipping them with the instruments and gear they need to make music education possible for kids in their communities. This program is best-suited to organizations that are in the most urgent need, serve high-needs or under-represented communities, and have strong plans in place to ensure their music program thrives.

Making music with community can help young people find connection, celebrate their identity, and cope with the stresses of growing up. The MusiCounts TD Community Music Program supports organizations in their efforts to celebrate musical and cultural diversity through music, and to create safe and inclusive spaces for youth to feel a sense of belonging. Grants can be used to support any approach to music education and purchase any kind of musical instrument. We invite instructors, administrators, or anyone else affiliated with a community organization to apply for any existing music program, or to bring a new program to life.
