MusiCounts thanks Yale

July 20, 2026

MusiCounts could not be what it is today without the support of our donors, partners, and community. Music is what drives us all — whether you grew up with music, work in the industry, or are simply a music lover. That’s why every July, we spotlight a variety of people who make music education accessible for youth across Canada.

We caught up with Yale Rivietz, a fourth-grade student who visited our office back in November 2025 to interview MusiCounts for Project Give Back.

Why did you choose MusiCounts for Project Give Back?

MusiCounts was the perfect fit for me. I chose MusiCounts because I want everyone to experience music, see the power and how fun music is, just like I have.

I told my class a bunch of facts, stories, and videos about MusiCounts. Then I showed them a video of a song that I love to my class, and some of them were dancing. After that, we finally ended off with an activity, which was a drum challenge.

What would you say to people who want to learn more about MusiCounts?

For the people out there who want to learn more about this charity, you should look up their website (A/N: where you are right now!), their Facebook, and also raise some money yourself.
